The transformations may include the effect of load angle and load magnitude on a signal prepared for transmission through an antenna. In response to the transformations, the communication device may, for example, determine a new shaping table, and replace an existing shaping table with the new shaping table. The communication device uses the shaping table to generate an envelope signal for an envelope tracking power supply, and the new shaping table may be selected to provide, e.g., power saving operation given the current load angle and load magnitude.
