Abstract

In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, a drawer may include an antenna, one or more structural elements, and one or more electrical components. The antenna may be configured to transmit via a short-range wireless communication technology. The one or more structural elements may be configured to permit the drawer to translate between an open position and a closed position relative to a chassis mechanically coupled to the drawer. The one or more electrical components may configured to enable the antenna for wireless communication via the short-range wireless communication technology when the drawer is in the open position and disable the antenna for wireless communication via the short-range wireless communication technology when the drawer is in the closed position.
