Data transmission using different transmission technologies

A network, comprising:

• a first network entity,
• a first communication coordination unit associated with the first network entity, wherein said communication coordination device is configured to cause a partitioning of a data transmission between a first network entity and a second network entity between at least two communication channels, a first communication channel of the at least two communication channels using a first communication technology and a second communication channel of the at least two communication channels using a second communication technology different from the first communication technology,
• a second network entity,
• a second communication coordination device associated with said second network entity wherein said communication coordination device is configured to cause a partitioning of a data transmission between a first network entity and a second network entity between at least two communication channels, a first communication channel of the at least two communication channels using a first communication technology and a second communication channel of the at least two communication channels using a second communication technology different from the first communication technology,
• a first communication channel between said first network entity and said second network entity, and
• a second communication channel between said first network entity and said second network entity, said second communication channel employing a communication technology different from said first communication channel.
