Systems, methods and computer program products for determining document validity

A system, comprising a processor;

• and
• logic in and/or executable by the processor and configured to cause the processor to:
• perform optical character recognition (OCR) on an image of a financial document and
• at least one of:
• correct OCR errors in the financial document using at least one of textual information from a complementary document and predefined business rules;
• normalize data from the complementary document using at least one of textual information from the financial document and the predefined business rules;
• and
• normalize data from the financial document using at least one of textual information from the complementary document and the predefined business rules.

A computer program product, comprising:

• a computer readable storage medium having embodied thereon non-transitory computer readable instructions, the computer readable instructions being configured to cause a processor to:
• perform optical character recognition (OCR) on an image of a financial document and
• at least one of:
• correct OCR errors in the financial document using at least one of textual information from a complementary document and predefined business rules;
• normalize data from the complementary document using at least one of textual information from the financial document and the predefined business rules;
• and
• normalize data from the financial document using at least one of textual information from the complementary document and the predefined business rules.
