Abstract
A user equipment (UE) is provided that includes a processor configured to transmit a precoding matrix index (PMI) using one of an assigned periodic PMI reporting resource that precisely aligns with the start of an on-duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation mode of the UE and a first assigned periodic PMI reporting after the start of an on-duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation mode of the UE.

An enhanced node B (eNB), comprising:
- a processor configured to configure a receiver in a user equipment to have an active time;
- and
- the processor further configured to control a receiver to refrain from receiving precoding matrix indexes (PMI) when not in active time.
A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- a processor configured to control a receiver in the UE to have an active time;
- and
- the processor further configured to control a transmitter to not transmit precoding matrix indices (PMIs) when not in the active time.
A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- a processor configured to receive a resource configuration, the resource configuration indicating a periodic reporting resource for transmitting precoding matrix indices (PMIs);
- the processor is further configured to control a receiver in the UE to be in a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation mode, wherein the receiver is configured to receive data during at least a portion of an active time of the DRX operation mode;
- and
- the processor is further configured to transmit one or more PMIs based on the active time using the periodic reporting resource.
