Abstract
In embodiments of the present disclosure, improved capabilities are described for conserving back haul utilization in a wireless network, where optimization servers utilizing publish-subscribe broker services are provided within the wireless network to provide streaming data services required for applications streaming data to a plurality of mobile cellular devices, where the streaming data is not necessarily delivered to each of the plurality of mobile cellular devices at the same time.

A system comprising:
- a cellular LTE base transceiver station having an RF coverage area and configured for RF communication with at least a first and a second mobile transceiver device in the RF coverage area, the cellular LTE base transceiver station being connected to a back haul network;
- and
- a base station optimization server that is connected to the cellular LTE base transceiver station and to the back haul network in parallel with the cellular LTE base transceiver station, the base station optimization server being communicatively connected to the first and the second mobile transceiver devices via LTE bearers that are redirected through the cellular LTE base transceiver station for the first and the second mobile transceiver devices, and comprising a first publish-subscribe broker communications facility to which the first and the second mobile transceiver devices are connected via their redirected bearers, wherein the first publish-subscribe broker communications facility is adapted to route a packet stream, on behalf of an application that publishes its streaming application data, to the first mobile transceiver device when the first mobile transceiver device subscribes to the streaming application data, and wherein the first publish-subscribe broker communications facility is adapted to route a replication of the same packet stream, on behalf of the application that publishes the streaming application data, from the first publish-subscribe broker communications facility to the second mobile transceiver device when the second mobile transceiver device subscribes to the streaming application data, wherein the streaming application data is transmitted to the second mobile transceiver device at a different time than the streaming application data is transmitted to the first mobile transceiver device;
