System and method for physically disabled persons to read e-publications

A system for assisting individuals to read or otherwise experience electronic publications, said system comprising:

• a projector configured to project images of an electronic publication via a lens system;
• and
• a controller comprising a processor and a storage device communicatively coupled to the processor, said storage device storing processor-executable instructions, which when executed by the processor cause the processor to:
• download and store an electronic publication, and
• provide, via a wireless communication channel and responsive to one or more user inputs, one or more instructions in connection with projection of the images of the electronic publication,
• wherein said controller is sized and contoured to fit comfortably within or be held by a human hand and does not include a display for viewing the electronic publication.
