Abstract
Embodiments of the invention comprise a method of making a construction board (also known as wallboard) and a device for making same. The resulting construction board is formed by mixing of at least magnesium oxide, magnesium chloride, and a binding agent into a slurry, adding particulized solid material while funneling the slurry, and extruding the slurry comprising the particulized solid material.
Claims20
A device for making a construction board comprising:
- a mixing apparatus for preparation of a slurry comprising magnesium oxide, magnesium chloride, and a binding agent;
- a funnel operatively connected by at least one inlet to said mixing apparatus and comprising at least one inlet configured to receive particulized solid material from a vessel;
- and an extruding tip operatively connected to said funnel for extruding said slurry comprising said particulized solid material.
Construction board made from a slurry;
- said slurry comprising magnesium oxide, magnesium chloride, and a binding agent;
- wherein said slurry receives particulized solid material;
- and said slurry comprising said particulized solid material is extruded to form said construction board.
