Abstract

The change in the weight of a sample is monitored in time series using a reference weight. At each monitoring point, the respective loads of an empty sample scale pan, the scale pan with the reference weight, the empty scale pan, the scale pan with the sample, the scale pan with the reference weight, and then the empty scale pan are detected at time intervals T by a load detector to calculate the weights of the reference weight and the sample. The calculated weight of the reference weight is compared with the calculated weight of the reference weight at the time of the last monitoring to calculate a sensitivity correction coefficient, and the difference between the sample weight multiplied by the sensitivity correction coefficient and the last sample weight is calculated as the amount of sample weight variation.
