A patient support system comprising
- a patient support apparatus including a lower frame, an upper frame movable relative to the lower frame, a deck coupled to the upper frame and having at least one deck section movable relative to the upper frame, and a plurality of sensors configured to detect the position of the upper frame and the position of the at least one deck section, and at least one accessory system configured to provide a patient support system function,
- and a controller including a user interface and a controller coupled to the plurality of sensors and the at least one accessory system, the controller configured upon receipt of an input associated with one of the accessory systems to cause an icon to be displayed on the user interface, the icon graphically indicative of patient support apparatus component movement needed for proper operation of the at least one accessory system.
The patient support system of claim 1, wherein the icon graphically indicates needed movement of the at least one deck section for proper operation of the at least one accessory system.
The patient support system of claim 2, wherein the deck includes a head-deck section and a foot-deck section spaced apart from the head-deck section, the head-deck section and the foot-deck section movable relative to the upper frame, and the icon graphically indicates needed movement of the head-deck section and the foot-deck section relative to the upper frame for proper operation of the at least one accessory system.
The patient support system of claim 2, wherein the icon graphically indicates needed movement of the upper frame for proper operation of the at least one accessory system.
The patient support system of claim 3, wherein the patient support apparatus includes a siderail movable between a raised and a lowered position and the icon graphically indicates needed movement of the siderail for proper operation of the at least one accessory system.
The patient support system of claim 4, wherein the at least one accessory system includes a scale system configured to weight a patient supported on the patient support apparatus.
The patient support system of claim 5, wherein the at least one accessory system includes an air system configured to provide pressurized air to inflatable bladders included in a patient support surface adapted to be supported on the patient support apparatus.
The patient support system of claim 1, wherein the icon graphically indicates needed movement of the upper frame for proper operation of the at least one accessory system.
The patient support system of claim 1, wherein the patient support apparatus includes a siderail movable between a raised and a lowered position and the icon graphically indicates needed movement of the siderail for proper operation of the at least one accessory system.
The patient support system of claim 1, wherein the icon includes a first directional indicator associated with patient support apparatus component movement needed for proper operation of the at least one accessory system.
The patient support system of claim 1, wherein the icon includes an illustration of the patient support apparatus and a first graphic indicator associated with patient support apparatus component movement needed for proper operation of the at least one accessory system.
A patient support system comprising
- a patient support apparatus including a base, a deck coupled to the base for movement relative to the base, and at least one accessory system configured to provide a patient support system function,
- and a controller including a user interface and a controller coupled to the user interface and the at least one accessory system, the controller configured upon receipt of an input associated with one of the accessory systems to cause an icon to be displayed on the user interface, the icon graphically indicative that at least one component of the patient support apparatus is not in a predetermined position that allows proper operation of the at least one accessory system.
