Phenolic compound having carbonyl as neighboring group and application thereof

A compound represented by formula (1):

• wherein, in formula (1),
• R1 and R2 are independently hydrogen, halogen or alkyl having 1 to 10 carbons, and in the alkyl, at least one of —CH2— may be replaced by —O—, at least one of —(CH2)2— may be replaced by —CH═CH—, and at least one of hydrogen may be replaced by halogen;
• ring A1 and ring A2 are independently 1,4-cyclohexylene or 1,4-phenylene, at least one of —(CH2)2— constituting 1,4-cyclohexylene may be replaced by —CH═CH—, at least one of
• constituting 1,4-cyclohexylene may be replaced by
• at least one of —CH2— constituting 1,4-cyclohexylene may be replaced by —O— or —CO—, and at least one of hydrogen directly bonded with the rings may be replaced by halogen, —CF3, —CF2H or —CH2F;
• Z1 is a single bond, —(CH2)2—, —CH2O—, —OCH2—, —CF2O—, —OCF2—, —COO— or —OCO—;
• Y is halogen, —CF3, —CF2H or —CH2F;
• and
• m, n and p are independently 0, 1 or 2, and
• a sum (m+n) of m and n is 0, 1 or 2.
