Claims16
A method of treating a patient with a neurodegenerative or neuromuscular disorder, comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of a compound that blocks the interaction of CD40 and CD40L, wherein the compound is an anti-CD40 antibody or a small molecule.
The method of claim 4, wherein the compound is an anti-CD40 antibody.
The method of claim 4, wherein the compound is a small molecule.
The method of claim 5, wherein the disorder is Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
A method of treating a patient with a neurodegenerative or neuromuscular disorder, comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of a compound that blocks the interaction of CD40 and CD40L, wherein the compound is an anti-CD40L antibody and the disorder is Parkinson's Disease, Multifocal Motor Neuropathy, Primary Lateral Sclerosis, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Kennedy's Disease, or Spinocerebellar Ataxia.
A method of treating a patient with a neurodegenerative or neuromuscular disorder, comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of a compound that blocks the interaction of CD40 and CD40L in combination with a compound that blocks the interaction between CD28 and CD86 or between CD28 and CD80.
