Abstract
An apparatus, comprise a virtual machine on which an offload application is configured to run, said virtual machine comprising a first interface configured to provide offload traffic to said application and a second interface configured to output traffic from said application.

An apparatus, comprising a virtual machine on which an offload application is configured to run, said virtual machine comprising a first interface configured to provide offload traffic to said application and a second interface configured to output traffic from said application.
A method comprising:
- receiving at least one stream of packets;
- filtering said received stream of packets to determine which packets are to be routed to one of the plurality of offload applications, wherein different filtering rules are provided for one or more of different applications, different streams and different directions of packet streams;
- and
- offloading at least some of said packets for routing to a respective offload application.
A computer program comprising computer code to perform:
- receiving at least stream of packets;
- filtering said received stream of packets to determine which packets are to be routed to one of the plurality of offload applications, wherein different filtering rules are provided for one of more of different applications, different streams and different directions of packet streams;
- and
- offloading at least some of said packets for routing to a respective offload application.
