An imaging apparatus, comprising:

• an imaging control device including
• a character recognition section configured to recognize a predetermined character string in an image to be imaged,
• an object recognition section configured to recognize a predetermined object in the image,
• an imaging condition determination section configured to determine an imaging condition for imaging of the image, the imaging condition being determined based on the recognized character string and the recognized object, and
• an imaging control section configured to control the imaging of the image in accordance with the determined imaging condition;
• and
• an imaging section configured to perform the imaging of the image in accordance with the control.

A control method for an imaging control device, comprising:

• recognizing, by a character recognition section, a predetermined character string in an image to be imaged;
• recognizing, by an object recognition section, a predetermined object in the image;
• determining, by an imaging condition determination section, an imaging condition for imaging of the image, the imaging condition being determined based on the recognized character string and the recognized object;
• and
• controlling, by an imaging control section, the imaging of the image in accordance with the determined imaging condition.
