Evidence-based, neuro-congnitive testing methodology, protocols and systems

An evidence-based, neuro-cognitive testing protocol comprising the steps of:

• visiting a primary care physician by a patient;
• evaluating the patient by the primary care physician;
• completing a neurobehavioral questionnaire using responses from the patient;
• evaluating the neurobehavioral questionnaire to determine if an additional assessment, an intervention, or combinations thereof is needed;
• continuing the protocol if the additional assessment, the intervention, or combinations thereof is needed;
• continuing the protocol if the additional assessment, the intervention, or combinations thereof is accepted by the patient;
• inputting the demographic data of the patient and responses to the questionnaire, the additional assessment, or combinations thereof into the computer system to create a patient database;
• applying normalized data to the patient database for creating patient normalized data;
• interpreting the patient normalized data to determine at least one outcome;
• proposing recommendations based upon said at least one outcome;
• reviewing said at least one outcome and the recommendations by the primary care physician and the patient;
• determining the need for intervention;
• continuing the protocol if intervention is needed;
• prescribing a patient intervention commensurate with said at least one outcome and the recommendations;
• conducting the patient interventions;
• re-evaluating the patient after the patient interventions have been conducted;
• and
• terminating the protocol if the patient interventions are successful, or
• continuing the protocol if the patient interventions are not successful by completing a computerized assessment by the patient to create an updated patient database for analysis.

An evidence-based, neuro-cognitive testing system comprising:

• a processor in communication with data storage, wherein the data storage comprises:
• a neurobehavioral questionnaire completed by a patient, wherein the neurobehavioral questionnaire comprises a plurality of questions, and wherein at least one of said questions corresponds to at least one additional inventory;
• at least one functionality question relating to subjective assessment of a functionality of the patient, at least one additional assessment;
• and
• a patient database comprising patient demographic data and responses to the plurality of questions, said at least one additional assessment, or combinations thereof,
• wherein responses to the plurality of questions, said at least one functionality question, said at least one additional assessment, or combinations thereof are evaluated to determine if intervention is needed,
• wherein normalized data is applied to the patient database for creating a patient normalized data,
• wherein the patient normalized data is analyzed to determine at least one outcome,
• wherein recommendations are proposed based upon said at least one outcome,
• wherein said at least one outcome and the recommendations are reviewed by the primary care physician and the patient, and
• wherein a need for intervention is determined using said at least one outcome and the recommendations.

An evidence-based, neuro-cognitive protocol comprising the steps of:

• completing a neurobehavioral questionnaire by a patient;
• assessing responses to the neurobehavioral questionnaire to determine if intervention is needed;
• testing psychological parameters by a technician, a computer, or combinations thereof;
• and
• continuing the protocol if intervention is needed.

A computer readable medium comprising computer instructions for instructing a processor to:

• provide a neurobehavioral questionnaire to a patient;
• collect data in the form of responses of the patient to the neurobehavioral questionnaire;
• perform an algorithm using the collected patient data responses to determine if an assessment is indicated;
• provide a determined assessment to the patient;
• receive assessment data input of the patient, and store the received assessment data in a patient database;
• normalize the stored assessment data;
• score the stored assessment data;
• and
• provide the scored assessment data to a physician for forming an interpretation, interpret the scored assessment data by comparing to the scored assessment data to a predetermined range of values for various illnesses and disorders to form an interpretation, or combinations thereof.

A method for evaluating a patient, the method comprising the steps of:

• providing to the patient a questionnaire comprising a plurality of questions, wherein at least one of said questions corresponds to at least one additional inventory;
• providing to the patient a functionality question relating to subjective assessment of functionality of the patient;
• receiving a response from the patient to each of the plurality of questions and to the functionality question;
• analyzing the response to each of the plurality of questions, the response to the functionality question, or combinations thereof, to determine an indication of additional inventories;
• providing to the patient additional inventories corresponding to the indication, receiving responses from the patient thereto, and analyzing the responses to the additional inventories;
• assessing the patient by a first physician and recording a functionality assessment corresponding to the patient, wherein the functionality assessment and a patient's response to the functionality question define a differential;
• using the response to each of the plurality of questions, the response to the functionality question, the responses to the additional inventories, the functionality assessment, the differential, or combinations thereof, to form a first patient assessment comprising at least one potential diagnosis of the patient;
• and
• communicating said at least one potential diagnosis of the patient to a second physician.
