Abstract
A method of gaming comprising: conducting at least one first game round, each first game round comprising selecting symbols of a plurality of normal first reels for display and evaluating the selected symbols; and conducting at least one second game round in response to a trigger event occurring, each second game round comprising fewer reels than in each first game round and being conducted by selecting symbols of at least one second reel for display and evaluating the selected symbols.
Claims20
A method of gaming for use with a gaming system having a gaming controller, the method comprising:
- selecting, via the gaming controller, symbols for a plurality of first reels for display in at least one first game round;
- determining, via the game controller, a first trigger event occurring in the at least one first game round;
- selecting, via the gaming controller, in a second game round symbols for display for at least one second reel having fewer reels displayed than in the at least one first game round in response to a first trigger event having occurred in the at least one first game round;
- determining, via the game controller, a second trigger event occurring in the at least one first game round;
- selecting, via the gaming controller, in a further game round symbols for display for one of the at least one second reel in response to a second trigger event having occurred in the at least one second game round;
- and
- determining, via the gaming controller, prizes based on winning combinations formable with the symbols selected in the one of the at least one second reel of the further game round and awarding at least the highest of the determined prizes.
A game controller for a gaming system, the game controller arranged to:
- select symbols for a plurality of first reels for display in at least one first game round;
- determine a first trigger event occurring in the at least one first game round;
- select in a second game round symbols for display for at least one second reel having fewer reels displayed than in the at least one first game round in response to a first trigger event having occurred in the at least one first game round;
- determine a second trigger event occurring in the at least one first game round;
- select in a further game round symbols for display for one of the at least one second reel in response to a second trigger event having occurred in the at least one second game round;
- and
- determine prizes based on winning combinations formable with the symbols selected in the one of the at least one second reel of the further game round and awarding at least the highest of the determined prizes.
