Information system with detachable information module

A method comprising:

• receiving, by a communication module from a mobile communication device through a communication port, an identification number for the mobile communication device;
• the mobile communication device being configured for wireless communication through a wireless network;
• and
• the communication module being configured for communicating with a communication network other than the wireless network.

A system comprising:

• a mobile communication device that is configured for wireless communication through a wireless network and that includes an identification number;
• and
• a communication module that includes a communication port for communicating with the mobile communication device, and that is configured to
• communicate with a communication network other than the wireless network, and
• receive the identification number through the communication port from the mobile communication device.
