Fusion polypeptides capable of activating receptors

A method of producing a fusion polypeptide of the form (A)-M-(A′), the method comprising the steps of

• culturing a host cell transfected with a vector comprising a nucleic acid sequence encoding the fusion polypeptide under conditions suitable for expression of the polypeptide from the host cell, and
• recovering the fusion polypeptide,
• wherein component A is a single chain variable fragment (scFv) antibody capable of binding Tie-1, component M is a multimerizing component comprising an Fc domain of IgG, and component A′ is a fibrinogen domain of Ang1 or Ang2.
