Imaging apparatus having temporary recording mode and direct recording mode

An information processing apparatus comprising:

• an imaging device that acquires a captured image on a subject;
• a first storage device that temporarily records images;
• an interface operable by a user for setting one of a temporary recording mode in which the captured image is temporarily recorded in the first storage device and a direct recording mode in which the captured image is directly recorded in a second storage device without being temporarily recorded in the first storage device;
• and
• circuitry configured to control a display device to display the captured image temporarily recorded in the first storage device in response to a display instruction of the user, wherein
• the interface is operable by the user for selecting a selected image from the images temporarily recorded in the first storage device and displayed on the display device;
• the circuitry is configured to record the selected image in the second storage device and delete the selected image from the first storage device;
• and
• the circuitry is configured to delete all of the images remaining in the first storage device at once in response to an action instructed by the user after the selecting at the user interface.
