Methods and systems for controlling a power converter

A converter controller for controlling operation of a power conversion assembly, said converter controller comprising:

• a stabilizer system configured to:
• receive a phase locked loop (PLL) error signal;
• and,
• generate a first command signal, based at least partially on the PLL error signal, that reduces system oscillations;
• and,
• a converter interface controller communicatively coupled to said stabilizer system and configured to generate control signals based at least partially on the first command signal and transmit the control signals to the power conversion assembly.

A method for controlling a power generation and delivery system that includes an electrical generator, a power converter, and a controller, said method comprising:

• monitoring an output parameter of the power generation and delivery system indicative of system oscillations;
• generating, using the controller, a command signal based at least partially on the output parameter;
• and,
• controlling operation of the power converter based at least partially on the command signal to reduce system oscillations.
