Abstract
A method for predicting the usability of a relay or a contactor is described herein. A current flowing through the relay or the contactor and/or a voltage applied to the relay or the contactor is measured repeatedly, and the measured values are transmitted to an observation unit. The observation unit makes a prediction relating to the usability of the relay or of the contactor on the basis of the measured values and a model. Furthermore described are an observation unit and a battery which are configured to carry out the method according to the disclosure.
Claims10
A method for predicting a usability of a relay or a contactor, comprising:
- determining measured values by measuring repeatedly at least one of (i) a current flowing through the relay or the contactor, and (ii) a voltage present at the relay or the contactor;
- transmitting the measured values to a monitoring unit;
- and
- making a prediction with the monitoring unit on the usability of the relay or the contactor based on the measured values and a model.
A monitoring unit, comprising:
- a controller,
- wherein the controller is configured to implement a method for predicting a usability of a relay or a contactor,
- wherein the method includes
- determining measured values by measuring repeatedly at least one of (i) a current flowing through the relay or the contactor, and (ii) a voltage present at the relay or the contactor,
- transmitting the measured values to the controller of the monitoring unit, and
- making a prediction with the monitoring unit on the usability of the relay or the contactor based on the measured values and a model with the controller.
A battery comprising:
- at least one of a relay and a contactor;
- and
- a monitoring unit configured to implement a method for predicting a usability of a relay or a contactor,
- wherein the method includes
- determining measured values by measuring repeatedly at least one of (i) a current flowing through the relay or the contactor, and (ii) a voltage present at the relay or the contactor,
- transmitting the measured values to a monitoring unit, and
- making a prediction with the monitoring unit on the usability of the relay or the contactor based on the measured values and a model.
