White light emitting device and display apparatus

A white light emitting device comprising:

• a blue light emitting diode (LED) which emits blue light having a peak wavelength ranging from 430 nm to 460 nm;
• a first wavelength conversion material which, in response to being excited by the blue light, emits green light;
• a second wavelength conversion material which, in response to being excited by the blue light, emits red light, wherein white light obtained from a mixture of the green light and the red light excited together with the blue light has a first peak wavelength in a wavelength band ranging from 525 nm to 545 nm and a second peak wavelength in a wavelength band ranging from 615 nm to 650 nm;
• and
• a complex compound made of a material which absorbs light between the first peak wavelength and the second peak wavelength.

A white light emitting device comprising:

• a blue light emitting diode (LED) which emits blue light;
• a wavelength conversion material which, in response to being excited by the blue light, emits light, wherein white light obtained from a mixture of the light excited together with the blue light has a first peak wavelength in a wavelength band ranging from 525 nm to 545 nm and a second peak wavelength in a wavelength band ranging from 615 nm to 650 nm;
• and
• a complex compound made of a material which absorbs light between the first and second peak wavelengths.
