Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for measuring a flow rate through a vessel, such as a conduit or pipeline. The method comprises providing a reference parameter, measuring a first parameter at a first position at the vessel and determining a difference between the first parameter and the reference parameter. The flow rate through the vessel is determined based on the difference between the first parameter and the reference parameter.
Claims13
A method for measuring a fluid parameter in a vessel, the method comprising:
- providing a reference temperature;
- measuring a first temperature at a first position at the vessel;
- determining a difference between the first temperature and the reference temperature;
- and
- determining the fluid parameter in the vessel based on the determined difference;
- wherein the measuring of the first temperature is at a distance from the vessel to the first position.
3 more elements
An apparatus for measuring a fluid parameter in a vessel, the apparatus comprising:
- a first sensor for measuring a first temperature at a first position of the vessel;
- and
- a calculation unit for determining a difference between the first temperature and a reference temperature and for determining the fluid parameter in the vessel based on the determined difference;
- wherein the first sensor is a thermal radiation sensor.
