Abstract
Methods for stimulating appetite in cats in need thereof are disclosed.

A method for enhancing appetite in a cat having chronic kidney disease, comprising administering mirtazapine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to said cat, in an amount between 1.0 and 2.5 mg every other day.
