Abstract
An isolated polysaccharide has the structure [-β(1,3)-D-GaIpNAc-β(1,4)-D-Glcp-]n. The polysaccharide may be from a Bifidobacterium strain NCIMB 41003. The polysaccharide exhibits immunomodulatory activity.
