Abstract
Embodiments described herein generally relate to programming and erasing a FLASH memory. In an embodiment, a method of programming or erasing the contents of a block of a FLASH memory includes determining a voltage of a pulse based on an age of the block and outputting the pulse to at least a portion of the block. The pulse is used to program or erase the block.
Claims22
A method of programming or erasing contents of a block of a non-volatile memory, comprising:
- determining a voltage of a pulse based on an age of the block, the pulse used to program or erase the block;
- and
- outputting the pulse to at least a portion of the block.
A system comprising a module operable to program or erase the contents of a block of a FLASH memory, the module comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory in communication with said processor, said memory for storing a plurality of processing instructions for directing said processor to:
- determine a voltage of a pulse based on an age of the block, the pulse used to program or erase the block;
- and
- output the pulse to at least a portion of the block.
A computer readable medium having stored therein one or more sequences of one or more instructions for execution by one or more processors to perform a method of programming or erasing the contents of a block of a non-volatile memory, the method comprising:
- determining a voltage of a pulse based on an age of the block, the pulse used to program or erase the block;
- and
- outputting the pulse to at least a portion of the block.
