Abstract

Provided is a plastic container for receiving liquids, comprising a base area, a main body adjoining to said base area in a longitudinal direction of the container, a shoulder area adjoining to said main body in the longitudinal direction of said container, and a mouth area adjoining to said shoulder area in the longitudinal direction of said container, said mouth area having a container mouth. The container has a gripping area provided between said main body and said container mouth in the longitudinal direction of said container. The external cross section of said gripping area is smaller than an average external cross section of said shoulder area.
