Abstract
System and method to translate displayed text of a computer application, the method including: intercepting a command to display text in a first language, the command comprising the text to display in the first language; extracting text to translate from the command; querying a translation mechanism by use of the extracted text; receiving translated text in a second language from the translation mechanism; and displaying the translated text in the second language.
Claims19
A method to translate displayed text of a computer application, comprising:
- intercepting a command to display text in a first language, the command comprising the text to display in the first language;
- extracting text to translate from the command;
- querying a translation mechanism by use of the extracted text;
- receiving translated text in a second language from the translation mechanism;
- and
- displaying the translated text in the second language.
A system to translate displayed text of a computer application, comprising:
- an interception module configured to intercept a command to display text in a first language, the command comprising the text to display in the first language;
- an extraction module configured to extract text to translate from the command;
- an interface to a translation mechanism, wherein the interface is configured to transmit extracted text to the translation mechanism, and to receive translated text from the translation mechanism;
- and
- an output module configured to display the translated text in the second language.
