Abstract
A method for producing a functional shaft is provided in which a functional element which is provided with a pocket is inserted into a retaining element, a shaft is inserted into the pocket, and a force applied to the functional element while the shaft is being inserted into the pocket is measured. A device for producing a functional shaft and to a functional shaft produced in accordance with the method is also provided.

A method for producing a functional shaft, comprising the steps of:
- inserting at least one functional element provided with a pocket into a retaining element at a predetermined angular position;
- inserting at least one shaft into the pocket of the at least one functional element;
- and
- measuring at least one force is applied to the at least one functional element while the shaft is being inserted into the pocket.

A device for producing a functional shaft, comprising:
- at least one retaining element configured to hold at least one functional element;
- and
- a force measuring unit configured to measure a force applied to at least one of the functional element and the retaining element during insertion of a shaft into the functional element.
