Abstract
In one embodiment, in response to an event detected during presentation of a structured document in a graphical user interface of an application hosted by a device, the application renders frames and text content of the structured document by using a main processor of the device, and renders media content of the structured document within a region encompassing the graphical user interface by using a graphics processor of the device.
Claims20
One or more computer-readable non-transitory storage media embodying instructions operable when executed to:
- detect an event during presentation of a structured document in a graphical user interface (GUI) of an application executed by one or more main processors of a device, the GUI being scrollable along at least one axis relative to a display showing the GUI;
- in response to the event:
- determine a first set of elements and a second set of elements of the structured document;
- cause one or more of the main processors to render the first set of elements of the structured document for presentation in the GUI;
- and
- cause one or more of graphics processors of the device to render the second set of elements of the structured document for presentation in the GUI.
A method comprising, by one or more main processors of a device:
- detecting an event during presentation of a structured document in a graphical user interface (GUI) of an application executed by one or more of the main processors, the GUI being scrollable along at least one axis relative to a display showing the GUI;
- in response to the event:
- determining a first set of elements and a second set of elements of the structured document;
- causing one or more of the main processors to render the first set of elements of the structured document for presentation in the GUI;
- and
- causing one or more of graphics processors of the device to render the second set of elements of the structured document for presentation in the GUI.
An apparatus comprising:
- one or more main processors;
- one or more graphics processors;
- one or more communication interfaces;
- a display;
- one or more computer-readable non-transitory storage media embodying instructions operable, when executed, cause one or more of the processors to:
- detect an event during presentation of a structured document in a graphical user interface (GUI) of an application executed by one or more of the main processors, the GUI being scrollable along at least one axis relative to the display showing the GUI;
- in response to the event:
- determine a first set of elements and a second set of elements of the structured document;
- cause one or more of the main processors to render the first set of elements of the structured document for presentation in the GUI;
- and
- cause one or more of graphics processors of the device to render the second set of elements of the structured document for presentation in the GUI.
