Abstract
A method of managing an image forming apparatus provided with a web server includes receiving a connection request for the web server, determining whether a MAC (Media Access Control) address of a user terminal device that has requested the connection is a pre-stored MAC address, and approving the connection of the user terminal device that has requested the connection to the web server if it is determined that the MAC address of the user terminal device that has requested the connection has been pre-stored.
Claims20
A method of managing an image forming apparatus provided with a web server, comprising:
- receiving a connection request for the web server;
- determining whether a MAC (Media Access Control) address of a user terminal device requesting the connection to the web server is a pre-stored MAC address;
- and
- approving the connection of the user terminal device that has requested the connection to the web server if it is determined that the MAC address of the user terminal device has been pre-stored.
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- a web server to provide a web UI window to a user terminal device;
- a communication interface unit to receive a connection request for the web server;
- a storage unit to store a MAC (Media Access Control) address of the user terminal device;
- and
- a control unit to determine whether the MAC address of the user terminal device that has requested the connection is a MAC address pre-stored in the storage unit if the connection request for the web server is received, and to approve the connection to the web server if it is determined that the MAC address of the user terminal device has been pre-stored.
A non-transitory recording medium recorded with a program code for performing a method of managing an image forming apparatus provided with a web server, the method comprising:
- receiving a connection request for the web server;
- determining whether a MAC (Media Access Control) address of a user terminal device that has requested the connection is a pre-stored MAC address;
- and
- approving the connection of the user terminal device to the web server if it is determined that the MAC address of the user terminal device has been pre-stored.
A method of performing a connection between a user terminal device and an image forming apparatus, the method comprising:
- receiving a request from a user terminal device;
- determining whether a MAC address of the user terminal device is a pre-stored MAC address;
- and
- allowing the user terminal device to access the image forming apparatus if the MAC address of the user terminal device has been pre-stored.
