Abstract
An angle detector detects an operation angle of an electric actuator having an electric motor. The electric motor generates rotation force when being energized. The angle detector includes a controller. The controller calculates an average current flowing through the electric motor during operation of the electric actuator. The controller calculates the operation angle of the electric actuator from a predetermined formula by using the average current.
Claims9
An angle detector for detecting an operation angle of an electric actuator having an electric motor, the electric motor configured to generate rotation force when being energized, the angle detector comprising:
- a controller configured to calculate a first average current flowing through the electric motor during operation of the electric actuator, wherein
- the controller calculates the operation angle of the electric actuator from a predetermined formula by using the average current.
An angle detector for detecting an operation amount based on a motor current flowing through an electric motor, the electric motor configured to generate rotation force when being energized, the operation amount indicating at least one of an amount of operation of the electric motor, an amount of operation of an electric actuator having the electric motor, and an amount of operation of a target driven by the electric actuator, the angle detector comprising:
- a controller configured to detect a change in an inrush current from an increase to a decrease, wherein
- the controller calculates the operation amount based on the motor current after the change in the inrush current from the increase to the decrease is detected, and
- the inrush current is the motor current occurring immediately after the electric motor is energized.
