Abstract
In accordance with the exemplary embodiments of the invention there is at least a method and apparatus including computer programs executable by at least one processor to perform operations including scanning a location with a portable electronic device using a motion performed with the portable electronic device, based on the scanning using the motion, building a map of the location, and displaying the built map on the portable electronic device.

A method comprising:
- scanning a location with a portable electronic device using a motion performed with the portable electronic device;
- based on the scanning using the motion, building a map of the location;
- and
- displaying the built map on the portable electronic device.

- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one memory including computer program code, where the at least one memory and the computer program code are configured, with the at least one processor, to cause the device to at least:
- scan a location with the portable electronic device using a motion performed with the portable electronic device;
- based on the scanning using the motion, build a map of the location;
- and
- display the built map on the portable electronic device.
