Preparation for the prevention and/or treatment of vascular disorders

A preparation, comprising:

• a) long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid fraction comprising omega-3 and omega-6 LCPUFAs in a ratio of omega-3:
• omega-6 LCPUFAs of 2.5 to 5.5 wt/wt, said fraction comprising docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and optionally EPA;
• b) at least two different phospholipids selected from the group consisting of phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine;
• and
• c) folic acid and vitamin B6, wherein the amount of folic acid is at least 200 μg per daily dosage.

A method for treating a person suffering from or being at risk of vascular disorders or secondary disorders associated therewith, said method comprising administering to said person a preparation, comprising:

• a) long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid fraction comprising docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and optionally eicosapentaeonic acid (EPA);
• b) at least two different phospholipids selected from the group consisting of phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine;
• and
• c) folic acid and vitamin B6, wherein the amount of folic acid is at least 200 μg per daily dosage.
