Proxied Outgoing Message Transmission

A non-transitory, computer-readable media comprising instructions operable, when executed by one or more computing systems, to:

• receive, from a client, a message to be delivered to an endpoint;
• store the message in a mailbox associated with the user;
• access a set of policies for the client or the endpoint;
• determine a delivery channel for the message based on the policies;
• and
• transmit the message to the endpoint through the delivery channel.

An apparatus comprising:

• one or more processors;
• a communications interface;
• one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media comprising instructions operable, when executed by the one or more processors, to:
• receive, from a client via the communications interface, a message to be delivered to an endpoint;
• store the message in a mailbox associated with the user;
• access a set of policies for the client or the endpoint;
• determine a delivery channel for the message based on the policies;
• and
• transmit the message to the endpoint through the delivery channel.
