Abstract
The invention described herein provides for human antibodies produced in non-human animals that specifically bind to Pseudomonas aeruginosa Lipopolysaccharide (LPS). The invention further provides methods for making the antibodies in a non-human animal, expression of the antibodies in cell lines including hybridomas and recombinant host cell systems. Also provided are kits and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the antibodies and methods of treating or preventing pseudomonas infection by administering to a patient the pharmaceutical compositions described herein.
Claims20
An isolated human monoclonal antibody or antigen-binding portion thereof wherein the antibody specifically binds the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) O-specific side chain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa of serotype 06ad.
A human monoclonal antibody or an antigen-binding portion thereof that inhibits the binding of an antibody produced by a hybridoma cell line having ATCC Accession Number PTA-4073 to an O-specific side chain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa of serotype 06ad.
An isolated human antibody or antigen-binding portion thereof, wherein the amino acid sequence of said antibody or portion thereof is the same as the amino acid sequence of the human antibody produced by the hybridoma cell line having American Type Culture Collection Accession Number PTA-4073 or the antigen-binding portion thereof.
