Abstract
Methods and systems directed to retrieving voicemails from a voice mailbox server. In particular embodiments, a mailbox server may receive a notification from the voice mailbox server and connect to the voice mailbox server providing the credentials of a client device, and pull new voicemails for storage at the mailbox server. In particular embodiments, mailbox server periodically polls voice mailbox server for new voicemail messages. In particular embodiments, a client device polls or receives notification of new voicemails, and transmits a downloaded message to the mailbox server.
Claims20
A method comprising, by one or more computing systems:
- receiving, from a client, a location of a voice mailbox associated with the client, and a set of authentication credentials;
- storing the location and credentials in association with the client;
- retrieving one or more voicemails from the voice mailbox;
- and
- adding the one or more voicemails into one or more conversation threads.
A non-transitory, computer-readable media comprising instructions operable, when executed by one or more computing systems, to:
- receive, from a client, a location of a voice mailbox associated with the client, and a set of authentication credentials;
- store the location and credentials in association with the client;
- retrieve one or more voicemails from the voice mailbox;
- and
- add the one or more voicemails into one or more conversation threads.
An apparatus comprising:
- one or more processors;
- one or more communications interfaces;
- one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media comprising instructions operable, when executed by one or more processors, to:
- receive, from a client via the one or more communications interfaces, a location of a voice mailbox associated with the client, and a set of authentication credentials;
- store the location and credentials in association with the client;
- retrieve one or more voicemails from the voice mailbox;
- and
- add the one or more voicemails into one or more conversation threads.
