A discharge electrode comprising a surface layer to which a surface treatment that enables solder bonding is applied.
A method for manufacturing a discharge electrode comprising:
- a surface treatment step of applying a surface treatment, which enables solder bonding, to a wire rod;
- a cutting step of cutting the wire rod to form a cut rod;
- and
- a discharge portion forming step of forming a discharge portion at a distal portion of the cut rod.
