Abstract
An imaging apparatus for maintaining the frequency of access to a memory for storing an object image for distortion compensation and processing speed of the distortion compensation, while reducing the size of the memory, is provided.
Claims8
An imaging apparatus comprising:
- an assignment controller which sequentially assigns pixel values of a range of a number of lines of an image to a memory;
- and
- a generator which generates a distortion-compensated image line by line by using the pixel values of the range of the number of lines sequentially assigned to the memory,
- wherein the number of lines is equal to or greater than a number of lines of the image required to generate each line of the distortion-compensated image, and
- wherein the pixel values of the range of the number of lines exclude at least a portion of pixel values that are not needed to generate a not-yet generated line of the distortion-compensated image from among all pixel values in the range of the number of lines.

A distortion compensation method comprising:
- sequentially assigning pixel values of a range of a number of lines of an image to a memory;
- and
- generating a distortion-compensated image line by line by using the pixel values of the range of the number of lines sequentially assigned to the memory,
- wherein the number of lines is equal to or greater than a number of lines of the image required to generate each line of the distortion-compensated image, and
- wherein the pixel values of the range of the number of lines exclude at least a part of pixel values that are not needed to generate a not-yet generated line of the distortion-compensated image from among all pixel values in the range of the number of lines.
