A disclosed portable terminal has two housings that are foldably connected to each other. The portable terminal includes two display units provided respectively on the two housings; touch panel type input unit that detects touching of each of the two display element; a particular button located on one of the two display units; and a control unit that decides, when the flick operation for the particular button is performed, the application that is targeted by the flick operation, from among two applications that are executed on display screens of the two display units respectively, according to the direction of the flick operation, and executes a process assigned to the operation for the particular button on the decided application.
