Abstract
In a method for the production of a dashboard support for a motor vehicle, a blank is cut from an extruded profile part. The blank is then trimmed and shaped to form a mount which is connected to an end of a crossbeam for allowing subsequent coupling of the crossbeam via the mount to an A-pillar of the motor vehicle.

A method for the production of a dashboard support for a motor vehicle, comprising:
- cutting a blank from an extruded profile part;
- trimming and shaping the blank to form a mount;
- and
- connecting the mount to an end of a crossbeam for allowing the crossbeam to be coupled via the mount to an A-pillar of the motor vehicle.
