Reconfigurable tripod mounting system

A reconfigurable mounting system for a device having a device mounting coupler, comprising:

• a tripod, including:
• a multipoint attachment body having a top wall, a bottom wall, and one or more side walls joining said top wall to said bottom wall, said top wall defining a top attachment point, said side wall defining a side attachment point, and said bottom wall defining at least three attachment points including a set of three tripod leg attachment points, said attachment points supporting a universal quick connect mating system including a type 1 connector and a type 2 connector complementary, said type 1 connector and said type 2 connector complementary to each one another, wherein said top attachment point has a first particular one connector of said connector types and wherein said set of three tripod leg attachment points each have a second particular one connector of said connector types;
• and
• a plurality of rigid tripod legs, each leg having a proximal end and a distal end with said proximal end having a tripod connector of said type complementary to said second particular one connector;
• a flexleg having a proximal end and a distal end with said proximal end having a proximal connector of said type complementary to said second particular one connector;
• and
• a coupler having a proximal end and a distal end with said proximal end having a proximal connector of said type complementary to said first particular one connector and said distal end having a connector complementary to the device mounting coupler.
