Abstract
Various systems, apparatuses, and processes may be used for intraocular lens surgery. In particular implementations, a system for intraocular lens surgery may include an intraocular lens insertion cartridge and an intraocular lens interface adapted to engage an intraocular lens for advancement through the intraocular lens insertion cartridge. The system may also include a bracket that is detachably attached to the intraocular lens insertion cartridge and that facilitates securing the intraocular lens interface relative to the intraocular lens insertion cartridge.
Claims19
A system comprising:
- an intraocular lens insertion cartridge;
- an intraocular lens interface adapted to engage an intraocular lens for advancement through the intraocular lens insertion cartridge;
- and
- a bracket detachably attached to the intraocular lens insertion cartridge and that facilitates securing of the intraocular lens interface relative to the intraocular lens insertion cartridge.
An apparatus comprising:
- a body having a shape that follows the general contour of an intraocular lens insertion cartridge and facilitates securing an intraocular lens interface relative to the intraocular lens insertion cartridge;
- and
- at least one engagement structure adapted to detachably attach the apparatus with an intraocular lens insertion cartridge.
A process comprising:
- positionally stabilizing an assembly comprising an intraocular lens insertion cartridge, an intraocular lens interface, and a detachable bracket;
- removing the intraocular lens interface from the assembly;
- and
- detaching the bracket from the intraocular lens insertion cartridge.
A process comprising:
- detachably attaching an intraocular lens insertion cartridge to a bracket that facilitates securing of an intraocular lens interface relative to the intraocular lens insertion cartridge;
- and
- engaging an intraocular lens interface with the bracket.
