Abstract
A non-compliant medical balloon may be changed from a deflated state to an inflated state by increasing pressure within the balloon. The non-compliant medical balloon is composed of a woven fabric layer composed of at least two woven fabric fibers forming an angle. The angle remains substantially unchanged when the balloon changes from a deflated state to an inflated state.

A non-compliant medical balloon, a wall of said balloon comprising:
- a first fabric layer comprising a plurality of substantially inelastic fibers;
- and
- a second fabric layer comprising at least one substantially inelastic fiber.
A non-compliant medical balloon, comprising:
- a base balloon formed of a substantially inelastic polymer, said base balloon including a cylindrical barrel section with a first diameter along a longitudinal axis, two conical sections adjoining the barrel section, and two cylindrical end sections, each with a second diameter smaller than the first diameter;
- a first non-woven fabric layer comprising a plurality of substantially inelastic first fibers, said first layer adhesively attached to the base balloon;
- a second non-woven fabric layer comprising at least one substantially inelastic second fiber;
- and
- an outer polymeric coating.

A method of forming a non-compliant balloon comprising:
- providing a base layer comprising a substantially inelastic polymer;
- covering the base layer with a first non-woven fabric layer comprising a plurality of substantially inelastic first fibers;
- providing a second non-woven fabric layer comprising at least one second fiber;
- and
- coating the base layer and fabric layers with a polymeric coating.
