Paper sheet conveying roller

A conveying roller, comprising:

• a support body which has first and second annular grooves formed at an outer peripheral surface and at which a shaft portion is arranged;
• and
• a roller body formed with a tubular section, which is arranged to form a cavity between the support body and the tubular section at an outer peripheral side of the support body, and first and second ring-shaped side walls that are interconnected, respectively, with both ends of the tubular section in the axial direction and have respective inner peripheral edges fitted in the first and second annular grooves, respectively;
• a protrusion being arranged on a circumferential part of an inner peripheral edge of at least one of the first and second side walls, and a recess fitted to the protrusion being provided in at least one of the first and second annular grooves;
• the protrusion protruding outward in the axial direction from the circumferential part of the inner peripheral edge;
• the recess being a branched groove, which branches out from at least one of the first and second annular grooves, and which extends outward in the axial direction on the outer peripheral surface of the support body, the recess extending to an end face of the support body in the axial direction of the support body and is opened to the end face.
