Abstract
Bordetella pertussis p69 antigen is purified by immobilised metal affinity chromatography.
Claims31
A process for purifying p69 antigen from Bordetella pertussis, comprising steps of:
- (a) separating a culture of B. pertussis cells into a supernatant liquid and pertactin-containing cellular solids;
- (b) treating the cellular solids to release p69 pertactin therein;
- (c) contacting the released p69 with a support comprising an immobilised metal ion, to give an eluate and a p69-containing retentate;
- and (d) eluting p69 from the retentate to provide purified p69.
1 more element
A process for purifying Bordetella pertussis p69 antigen from a mixture, comprising steps of:
- (a) contacting the mixture with a support comprising an immobilised metal ion, to give an eluate and a p69-containing retentate;
- (b) eluting p69 from the retentate to provide purified p69.
