Abstract
Water soluble pouches containing an essential oil that can be added to a load of laundry to impart a desired scent to the materials being washed, or to control the relative strength of the scent applied to the materials being washed, are provided. Also provided are kits including pouches, as well as methods for using such pouches for cleaning or scenting laundry.

A pouch, comprising a body comprising a water-soluble material and defining a container portion containing a composition comprising about 1% to about 5% of one or more liquid fragrances, aromas, or essential oils, less than about 8% of water and about 89% to about 99% of a carrier, measured according to the weight of the composition.
A laundry kit, comprising one or more pouches comprising a body comprising a water-soluble material and defining a container portion containing a composition comprising about 1% to about 5% of one or more liquid fragrances, aromas, or essential oils, less than about 8% of water, and about 89% to about 99% of a carrier, measured according to the weight of the composition, and instructions for using the kit in a method for imparting a scent into laundry or instructions for using the kit in a method for cleaning laundry.
