Abstract
The present disclosure provides a method for operating a storage drive. The method includes receiving a storage command from an initiator and generating an error in response to the storage command. The method also includes adding a check condition data parameter to a check condition log stored to a storage media of the storage drive. The check condition data parameter comprises a physical memory address corresponding to a physical location of a storage element corresponding to the error.
Claims20
A method of operating a storage drive, comprising:
- receiving a storage command from an initiator;
- generating an error in response to the storage command;
- and
- adding a check condition data parameter to a check condition log stored to a storage media of the storage drive;
- wherein the check condition data parameter comprises a physical memory address corresponding to a physical location of a storage element corresponding to the error.
A storage drive comprising:
- a processor;
- a storage medium;
- a non-transitory, computer-readable medium comprising instructions configured to direct the processor to:
- receive a storage command from an initiator;
- generate an error in response to the storage command;
- and
- add a check condition data parameter to a check condition log stored to a storage media of the storage drive, wherein the check condition data parameter comprises a physical memory address corresponding to a physical location of a storage element corresponding to the error.
A non-transitory, computer-readable medium comprising code configured to direct a processor to:
- receive a storage command from an initiator;
- generate an error in response to the storage command;
- and
- add a check condition data parameter to an check condition log stored to a storage media,
- wherein the check condition data parameter comprises a physical memory address corresponding to a physical location of a storage element corresponding to the error.
