Abstract
An improved panel system for covering a glass or plastic surface is provided that involves field emission structures having electric or magnetic field sources. The magnitudes, polarities, and positions of the magnetic or electric field sources are configured to have desirable correlation properties, which may be in accordance with a code. The correlation properties correspond to a desired spatial force function where spatial forces between field emission structures correspond to relative alignment, separation distance, and the spatial force function.
Claims20
A panel system for covering a glass or plastic surface, said panel system comprising:
- a panel;
- and
- a first magnetic structure, said first magnetic structure comprising a plurality of magnets, said plurality of magnets being comprised of a plurality of pieces of magnetic material, said plurality of magnets producing a first magnetic field in accordance with a one dimensional code having one peak autocorrelation position per code module and six off-peak autocorrelation positions per code modulo, wherein said peak autocorrelation position corresponds to a force of 4, wherein each of two of said six off-peak autocorrelation positions correspond to a force of 1, wherein each of two of said six off-peak autocorrelation positions correspond to a force of −1, and wherein each of two of said six off-peak autocorrelation magnitudes correspond to a force of 0.
A panel system for covering a glass or plastic surface, comprising:
- a panel;
- a first magnetic structure, said first magnetic structure comprising a first plurality of magnets, said first plurality of magnets being comprised of a first plurality of pieces of magnetic material, said first plurality of magnets producing a first magnetic field in accordance with one code modulo of a one-dimensional Barker-4 code;
- and
- a second magnetic structure, said second magnetic structure comprising a second plurality of magnets, said second plurality of magnets being comprised of a second plurality of pieces of magnetic material, said second plurality of magnets producing a second magnetic field in accordance with one code modulo of a one-dimensional Barker-4 code, wherein said second magnetic field is complementary to said first magnetic field.
The panel system of claim 122, wherein said first magnetic field and second magnetic field have approximately the same field strength.
The panel system of claim 122, further comprising:
- a third magnetic structure, wherein said third magnetic structure is a non-coded magnet, wherein said third magnetic structure produces a third magnetic field, and wherein said third magnetic field does not substantially interact with the first and second magnetic fields.
The panel system of claim 17, wherein said third magnetic structure is comprised of magnetic material comprising neodymium iron boron.
The panel system of claim 152, wherein said first and said second magnetic structures are each fixedly attached, directly or indirectly, to a substrate such that they are incapable of moving relative to each other.
