Abstract
Various aspects of the present subject matter provide a filter module. In various embodiments, the filter module comprises an input, an output, a signal path from the input to the output, a filter and a switch. The filter has a transfer response to attenuate a frequency of a neural stimulation signal. The switch is adapted to place the filter in the signal path when the neural stimulation signal is applied and to remove the filter from the signal path when the neural stimulation signal is not applied. Other aspects are provided herein.
Claims20
A medical device, comprising:
- a filter module to pass electrical signals indicative of a sensed electrical activity over a signal path, the filter module including a filter selectively connected in the signal path, the filter having a transfer response to attenuate a frequency of a neural stimulation signal;
- and
- a controller to receive a neural stimulation status signal, the controller to communicate with the sensing module to selectively route the signal path through the filter based on the status signal to filter the neural stimulation frequency from the electrical signals.
A medical device for filtering a sensed signal to attenuate a sensed neural stimulation signal that has a therapeutically-effective frequency, comprising:
- a signal pass for passing electrical signals indicative of a sensed electrical activity;
- a filter with a transfer response to attenuate the therapeutically-effective frequency of the neural stimulation signal;
- a switch configured to place the filter in the signal path and remove the filter from the signal path;
- and
- a controller to receive a neural stimulation status signal indicative of whether the neural stimulation signal is being applied, the controller to communicate with the sensing module to control the switch to place the filter in the signal path when the neural stimulation signal is applied and to remove the filter from the signal path when the neural stimulation signal is not applied.
